This last video was made by Kristi, owner of Wrapsody, approximately 5 hours before she gave birth to her fifth child. She found belly wrapping made a huge difference in helping her baby find his optimal position and also in relieving hip and bladder pain and pressure.
These are only some of the pregnancy wrap techniques that we know of, but hopefully it is enough to get you started with using your stretchy or woven wrap for maternity support. The bonus? It helps you practice wrapping and tightening before your baby comes, so wrapping your new baby will be easy!
There are also commercially available maternity wraps. Some women use ring slings for these techniques, and others create their own wrap out of fabric or shawls.
There is no single “right” way to accomplish this technique. Experiment with what feels most comfortable and supportive for you and your baby.
