You have a lot to do. I totally understand. I have five kids myself. And if you have a baby, whether one or five, then you know how hard it is to get things done when your little one needs so much from you.
Babywearing, the elegant tradition of keeping your baby right in the action in a quality baby carrier, helped me find my balance. In fact, it was the keystone of my parenting. That’s why I started Gypsy Mama — I want you, too, to be able to take care of all the things you need to do while soothing, rocking, talking to, and snuggling your baby.
Do you find it difficult to take a shower because your baby is teething and wants to be held? We made the WrapDuO just for you. Want to look fantastic on the way to the store with minimal effort? Throw on jeans, a t-shirt, and a Breeze or Stretch-Hybrid wrap. You’ll keep cool while you shop and receive a zillion compliments on how happy, sweet, cute, and rested you and your little one look together.
I would bet that like mine, your family is unique — your baby carrier should make your adventures easier and more fun, and Wrapsody baby carriers will. They have for me. And as a mother of five, as the founder and former chairwoman of the Baby Carrier Industry Alliance, I know how important the right tools are to keeping things in balance!
Wrapsody began in 2004 as a kitchen table business (me, sewing and decorating wraps at my kitchen table and dyeing them in my bathtub). Over the years, it’s become an international microbusiness. In 2006, as a then-single mother, I was able to buy a home with an attached carriage house/barn — with help from friends and family, it was quickly renovated and became a 600 square foot office/warehouse space for the business. It’s been such a beautiful journey, learning and growing with this company, and such a joy to be working from home and watching my children grow.
Over the years, I’ve felt incredibly blessed to be connected with my children — to practice my ideals, to help others, to support healthy attachments in families. My own journey has taken me through a world of extended breastfeeding, of homeschooling and of public schooling, of working and of playing, of marriage and divorce and remarriage. At the heart of it all lies attachment — attachment to my family, to my friends, and to you.
In the end, for me, Wrapsody is about sharing peace and joy with your family — a literal and figurative shawl to wrap around the ones who need you most. I hope the love we’ve poured into this company makes you and your baby as happy as it makes me and mine.
Thanks for sharing this journey with me.
