Katy is a babywearing homebirth mom of two, Leia Ophelia (3 years) and Dante (9 months). Katy and her husband Forrest were high school sweethearts and have been together over 12 years. Interesting fact: Leia was born in their home on their first wedding anniversary. Katy spends most of her summer days either at Rehoboth Beach or hiking in one of Delaware’s many state parks. She loves all things science fiction and is a huge fan of Joss Whedon and Star Wars. Katy owns a small business, Squirrel & Nut Apparel, where she makes handmade clothing for infants and toddlers. Katy was adopted at birth by a lovely couple living in Delaware. Her heritage is mostly Cherokee which she has spent much of her adult life wanting to connect with. She loves babywearing and the importance it can have on the development and relationship of child & mother.
