Favorite Wrapsody Colorway: Jennifer
Jessica, or Jessie as she prefers, is a jewelry designer, photographer, and semi-crunchy stay at home mama to Donnie (3.5) and Zachary (5m). She has two cats, Mau and Toby (a Norwegian Forest cat), and a Golden retriever named Stella. She loves hiking and babywearing and is passionate about breastfeeding and attachment parenting.
After the birth of her first son, Donald, Jessie joined a local babywearing group to learn more about wraps and wrapping. At those meetings she was shown different carriers and carries to try. With the help of the babywearing group’s meetings, support (and a few YouTube videos) Jessie became what she calls a “decent” wrapper.
While attending MommyCon, Boston in 2014 Jessie discovered Wrapsody’s hybrid wraps. Prior to finding the hybrid, Jessie had tried to use (and break-in) many wraps, such as a beloved Girasol, but never felt very the thrill. It wasn’t until she got her hands on a hybrid that she really fell in love with wrapping. The thing that really put her over the edge was trying a ruck with it. She discovered that the slight stretch that the hybrid has is what had been missing when she transitioned from a Moby to stronger woven wraps.
After finding her first hybrid wrap (Jennifer) Jessie scoured thrift stores and consignment sales on the lookout for different patterns and colorways. She has too many baby wearing options but can’t get enough of these. She always recommends these wraps to curious mommies when inquiring about wrapping and babywearing due to the beauty of the patterns, affordable price point, craftsmanship and ease of use. Jessie feels that she is still a wrapping amateur but, with a new baby to practice on, she is eager to keep learning.
